Jesus Loved People By Serving

Crossroads Greeley Church

Pastor Reid Olson of Crossroads Church of Greeley teaches on John 13:1-17. wash feet

The arguments ensued among the disciples on that night when Jesus was betrayed, the disagreement was about who was the greatest among them. Can you imagine that kind of bickering in the presence of Jesus? And Jesus didn’t talk them down, or stop the argument with words, he simply poured water into a bowl and started washing the feet of the proud disciples. You want to save your marriage? Serve your spouse. You want to grow a friendship? Serve someone. Do you want to love like Jesus? Serve people. The best way to stop an argument is to serve someone. The best way to grow a church is to serve someone. The best way to grow your faith is by serving others. Serving starts with an attitude of care for others, then the actions follow. Give it a try. You just might grow up in your faith, and start to be more like Jesus.

I was a pastor who still knows a personal connection with God and I like to share thoughts and insights to make God's Kingdom a little more tangibly, while sharing conversations on leadership insights. Now I'm a funeral director, still seeking to share about Jesus.
