Finishing Begins By Starting

Pastor Reid Olson of Crossroads Church of Greeley teaches on Exodus 3-4.

where_you_areWhen we think of New Year’s Resolutions, we often let fear assist us with failing. We don’t want to set goals, or accomplish success because we let fear capture our hearts. Moses knew a little something about this too. When God gave him a goal to accomplish, Moses tried talking his way out of it, many times. Have you ever been there? God reminds us to start where you are, use what you have, and do what you can in order to walk by faith in 2018. Join us this week in discovering God’s bigger purposes for our lives, and you’ll accomplish more as you walk by faith.

Manger Interrupted Plans

Pastor Reid Olson of Crossroads Church of Greeley teaches on Matthew 1.

Manger_Interruption

Mary and Joseph’s plans were interrupted for God’s greater invitation into the Messiah’s life. God has a way of interrupting our plans with His purposes. Don’t be alarmed if God wants to get your attention, so that His greater purposes may prevail. God sees the bigger picture and wants your participation into His plans. Won’t you put your plans on hold for God to work out His purposes in your life? Please do. You won’t be disappointed.

Missionary God; The Battle of Kingdoms

Pastor Reid Olson of Crossroads Church of Greeley teaches on Matthew 2.

king.herod-temple copy

Like King Herod, at the birth of Jesus, we resist the Kingdom of God breaking into our world. Sometimes people forget that God doesn’t come into our world like a tyrant and terrorist, but rather God comes near as a offering of peace, like a little child. God’s Kingdom is breaking into this dark world to take over your kingdom of selfishness and pride. Is it possible that we act like King Herod in our resistance to God’s Kingdom also? We need to be like the wisemen who came seeking proximity to Jesus, bringing gifts of worship to the Savior. We all, like King Herod, have gone astray, but God has come for us like only the Missionary God can.

missio_dei

She saw the mission of God, working around the world. Little did she know that God would be building her up personally, as much as building up His Kingdom around her and through her. Join us as we hear how the work of God is seen in the world.

God Includes Outsiders; Faith of Rahab

Pastor Reid Olson of Crossroads Church of Greeley teaches on Joshua 2.

Screen Shot 2017-11-28 at 10.59.37 AM

The faith story of Rahab, the “former” prostitute is compelling to say the least. Rahab was known for an interesting moral occupation. We might even say immoral. But when she gave her life in faith to those who could save her, we see that her history was changed. In Matthew 1, when the genealogy of Jesus is listed, we see something missing. When you come to faith in God, your story can change also. What is your faith story?
