This is one of the most famous chapters in the book of Acts. The terrorist, Saul, was still breathing murderous threats to the Church when the Lord Jesus, himself, knocked Saul off his personal mission. When the Lord got ahold of Saul, it took some “not-so-famous” people to rally around him and get him on the right mission. Today we talk about Ananias, Barnabas, the Widows and even Simon the tanner. These kind of “B-Team” players, are people like you and me, who play a role in the shaping of God’s Kingdom on earth, as it is in heaven.

In the book of Judges, chapter 16, we find Samson in a real bind. Eyes poked out, hands bound by bronze shackles and grinding on a wheel for the Philistines, he is bald and out of strength and out of options. He calls out to the Lord one final time and brings vengeance on the oppressors of Israel. Listen with us, as we look at the final retribution of Samson. When you’re caught in a bind, do you simply have regrets, or can you be truly repentant?
His encounter in 2 Kings 3:9-20 is as real today as it was then. We run out of water, and we pray to God so that God might “fix it”, but we seldom participate in the work it takes to have a miracle happen. Think of the miracles of Jesus. People were asked to participate in the miracle; “pick up your mat”, “stretch out your hand”, “go wash in the pool”… Jesus asks us to participate in the miracles that God is performing through us today also.
