If we can figure out how to forgive, then our capacity to love will be even greater still.
In 2 Kings 4:1-7, Elisha asks the desperate widow, “What do you have in your house”?
God calls us to humility because we cannot both worship God and worship self at the same time.
Trials that come will make us stronger in faith when we endure to the end.
“But I’m not like other people,” you may say. Well, the standard isn’t “other people”, the standard is God’s holiness.
We all face terrible things in our lives, but as followers of Jesus, we are called to respond differently. How is your faith being proved genuine?
do you know the relentless love of Jesus?
Does God seem cold hearted to you, sometimes?
Did you know that the Bible is not primarily emotionally satisfying? Did you know that Jesus didn’t ever ask someone how they “felt” about obeying God? God doesn’t ask us how we feel about walking with Him, He expects us to walk by faith.
We walk with God to learn how to give more service away and honor God by blessing others.
